Internet Marketing Training: What to Look Out For
Copyright 2005 Jack Elmy
Almost everyone these days has seen or heard of story about
an average Joe making a fortune through Internet marketing.
Many Internet marketing training sites promise that you too
can make a fortune and live in the lap of luxury while only
working a couple of hours per day. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
Who wouldn’t want to be rolling in cash and put out very
little effort to do it?
These Internet marketing training sites assure you that you
can join an elite group of wealthy entrepreneurs and all
you have to do is pay a small fee to discover the ‘insider’
secrets. Still sounds like a pretty good deal. Spend $19.95
or $29.95 or even $39.95 to make a six figure a year
income?
The problem is that a large bulk of these so called
Internet marketing training sites will gladly take your
money and offer you nothing in return. Oh, they’ll give you
plenty of e-books and tips and free bonuses but there’s not
really anything there that you can sink your teeth into.
They may even offer you a money back guarantee, but read
the find print and you’ll discover there are so many loops
in that guarantee it looks like a roller coaster at a theme
park.
This is not to say that making a good living on Internet
marketing can’t be done, or even that it’s not possible to
become wealthy. Obviously it is. If it wasn’t, the Internet
would come crashing down around us and no one would bother
with it. The point is that it is not quite as easy as some
of these Internet marketing training sites would have you
believe.
First, you need to understand that no e-book on the planet
is going to make you wealthy overnight. Just like anything
else, you’re going to have to put some effort into it.
Simply registering a domain name is not going to bring the
bucks flooding into your bank account.
Second, there is something to be said about learning from
the experience and mistakes of others. Many Internet
marketing training gurus have a wealth of worthy
information to pass on and you can cut down on the amount
of time you have to spend on the old ‘trial and error’
method by listening to them. However, make sure you’re
taking the advice of someone who has really been in the
trenches and knows what it takes to produce a successful,
money earning website. Not someone who simply says they do.
Finally, do your research before you leap at the first
offer you come across. There are a ton of Internet
marketing training sites out there and unfortunately some
of them ARE making a fortune off passing along outdated
information to unsuspecting consumers new to the field.
Remember that anyone who guarantees you can make a fortune
within thirty-six hours is best to avoid. Look for an
Internet marketing training professional who will be honest
and upfront with you; not someone who will promise you
riches for nothing.
