Is Money Prejudiced?

Not long ago I sat down with Money for a conversation, which resulted in a very enlightening interview. One of the first questions I asked Money was one that some would consider a tough question. When I was in working on my high school newspaper, I once interviewed teachers and students about their feelings about death, so I've never shied away from hard subjects.

Perhaps you've wondered about this yourself: is Money prejudiced? I'm sure you've noticed that Money hangs out with certain people or families, and I'm talking for generations! Why do some people always seem to have Money and others don't?

The following is an excerpt from that interview.

Dolores: Let's just get this first question out of the way. Because this is the toughest thing I'm going to ask you. There are those who say that you are…I don't want to use the word `prejudiced', but some say that you only like being around certain races or certain elite groups and you don't really care about anybody else? Is that true?

Money: Now, you see, that is the sort of thing that really, really upsets me! Nothing could be farther from the truth! I'm neutral, like Switzerland! It makes no difference to me about a person's race, gender or sexual orientation. If it were up to me I would hang out with everybody on the planet!

Dolores: Then, why don't you?

Money: You know as well as I do that it's the people who prevent me from being around them; it's not me.

Dolores: Well, let's get into that. What are some of the things people do that make you not want to be around them?

Money: My number one reason for not hanging out with certain people is because they don't take care of me.
