The Google Factor, Marketing With Google: Partnering with Google for success.

Google is without a doubt the largest most successful advertising system out there. There is a constant fight among Internet marketers to get to the top of the Google advertising machine. This is the first in a series of articles on how to harness the power of Google. Today we are just doing an overview, in the coming weeks I will show you in more detail how to make Google your partner for success. To get a good position in Google is not rocket science it is just a question of knowing the rules and following them.

What are the Google rules for the search engine?

1. Content is the first and largest factor-but not any old content will do. You need to think carefully about this. Your content must be:
a. Highly relevant or targeted to your business.
b. Interesting and useful to your visitors
c. Add new quality, relevant content on a regular basis

2. Linking-especially back links or incoming links. Again make these relevant and also pointing to quality sites

3. Optimizing-Always be sure to optimize your site. Again this is not a hard thing to do. It all centers on one-thing- keywords and key phrases. Make sure your main keywords or phrases are in your:
d. Domain name
e. Page titles
f. Sprinkled throughout your content

4. Do not try any fancy tricks. Google is owned by programmers and is big enough to develop new counter attacks to any black hat tricks. (Black hats are those who try to cheat the search engines.) You will get caught, banned or at the least penalized and Google does not warn anyone when they do this. Your site can be there today and banished to the sandbox or oblivion tomorrow. Trying to trick the Google boys is simply a waste of time.

5. Use commonsense and play by the Google rules and you will see that your site will not only survive but thrive with a good position and Page rank in the Google search engine.

Google Adwords: this is a powerful and cost effective way to bring highly targeted visitors to your site. Google Adwords is very fast, your ads will be seen within the hour and you can get visitors coming to your site in hours. Google has many tutorials and there are additional free and cost effective keyword research tools.

Google Adsense: This is a chance for you to make money by putting Google ads on your website. This has become a hot issue with many people making fantastic claims of how they have made 1000s, and a lot have cashed in on the trend. The Internet is literally flooded with literature, videos and courses on how to make money with Google Adsense. In later issues of the Magnetic Marketer we will attempt to cut through the hype and bring the commonsense approach to making real money with Google Adsense.
