I ended up throwing it into the washer every night because the actors had to wear makeup. It came out beautifully and since my son likes to cook he has a great hat to use at home. It is also velcro adjustable so can be made to fit. Did I mention it had to go back and forth to school in a backpack for a month?!

It worked for This Is Spinal Tap and it works again for Fear of a Black Hat, a mockumentary about a hot but hapless rap group. Writer-director Rusty Cundieff plays Ice Cold, leader of the gangsta rap group NWH (Niggaz with Hats), which also includes Tone-Def and Tasty Taste--and which seems to hit all the hot-button issues in rap today. Guns, obscenity, videos, violence--Cundieff has a sly sense of humor and knows how to get to the punch line over and over again. The result is surprisingly funny, an undiscovered gem that somehow slipped through the cracks during its meager theatrical release. --Marshall Fine
About this product: The Cat in the Hat is a marketing ploy disguised as a wildly designed movie for hyperactive kids, and it could use a dose of Ritalin. It hardly matters, though, because kids will surely enjoy the rampant romp that occurs when the top-hatted feline convinces young Sally (Dakota Fanning) and Conrad (Spencer Breslin) to wreak havoc in the home their mother (Kelly Preston) has neatly prepared for an upcoming party. It's all in the name of fun, and while Seuss's classic rhymes are relegated to voice-over narration, director Bo Welch capitalizes on his background as one of Hollywood's most gifted production designers (with credits including Edward Scissorhands and Men in Black), turning the Seussian town of "Anville" into a playful pastiche of pastels. As played by Mike Myers under layers of fur and latex, Dr. Seuss's mischievous Cat is mayhem personified, and the movie suffers from his anything-goes approach to getting a laugh. And though Myers delivers a few laughs while channeling voices from his own comedic repertoire (including "Coffee Talk" maven Linda Richman), a little of this Cat goes a long way, and he nearly wears out his welcome. --Jeff Shannon
About this product: Now I have to admit that this story version is a whole lot better than the vulgar movie version. This has such great songs that are very unforgettable. Even though the fish was quite a grouch it was similar to the great book. It is very entertaining and timeless.
