The new album will astonish again, as Longstreth trades his wabi-sabi for an arsenal of subwoofing sin waves, stoned rhinemaidens, clipshod beats, bone-crushing riffs played by wind orchestras, weird de-tuned guitars, and Wagnerian psychodrama. It is as subtle and flinty a piece of protest music as "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall"— but in the end it is a love story, recorded over the course of almost two years in three different states with more than twenty-five people.

I disagree with the negative reviews on this album. This album features a lot more creativity than other Krokus albums. Yes it's more pop-metal sounding, but hey that's what most people like. For example, Krokus' popular songs from other albums are the more pop sounding ones, ie. "Our Love", "Screaming in the Night". Also, the guitar work is excellent on this album, despite what another reviewer said. One song features a solo by Alan Holdsworth. And I dig the syth work, nicely done. Buy this one, it's great.

"State of the World Address" is one of those records that defined an undeniable moment in time. Many have accused Biohazard of being "fakes" or mocked them for being a "one trick horse", but this record stands alone. The band managed to unleash a sonic fury on that few have ever captured though many have made pale attempts at imitation. The production is warm and captures the NYHC/hip-hop mix perfectly, and the band themselves sound as pissed off as possible. Biohazard came to this party to tell a story, and while that story may be a little too "out there" for some people...it's an exciting ride nonetheless.

Catchy numbers such as "What Makes Us Tick" and "Down For Life" bridge the NYHC/hip-hop feel brilliantly with "How it Is" bringing in the slightly archaic rappers Cypress Hill to add to the vocalization. Other, heavier tracks such as "Love Denied" and "Five Blocks From the Subway" also paint horrific landscapes of urban decay and inner city stressfests. The songcraft here defined an entire career, and possibly defeated many later records by perfecting the formula to a point in which we may have never needed another record of this type.

"State of the World Address" may be the one perfect record Biohazard will unleash. While some will love it and some will hate it...Biohazard remain the lone kings at what Biohazard do. Respect must be given...

Half screwball romance, half television satire, Little Black Book follows insecure Stacy Holt (Brittany Murphy, Uptown Girls, 8 Mile), who has an idyllic relationship with a great guy named Derek (Ron Livingston, Office Space) and a job as an associate producer for a daytime talk show that fuses Jerry Springer and Ricki Lake. Little Black Book takes some unexpected plot twists that some viewers will find inexplicable and others will find weirdly fascinating. The movie's split personality makes it unsuccessful as a whole but compelling in parts. Hunter steals the show, in more ways than one.
