Although it was published in 1991, the contents of it are by no means out-dated. I read this book twice when I was in PM&R residency 1999-2002 doing spine care clinic rotation. I borrowed it from the library based on my attending's recommendation. The more I read about it, the more I liked it. So, before finishing reading it, I purchased one for my own so that I could highlight the important areas. My initial intention was to use it to study lumbar image, however, I found myself learning much more than that. In addition to having numerous illustrations of quality pictures of X-ray, MRI, CT scan of lumbosacral spine pertaining to lumbar disc disease, lumbar herniated disc, spondylolysis, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, Scheuermann's disease, facet joint arthropathy, SI joint arthropathy, scoliosis and development spinal disorders, etc, it is unbelievably rich in pertinent clinical information. I have learned a lot about spinal disorders from reading it in addition to learning radiographic evaluations. I actually felt that I learned more about varieties of spinal disorders in this book than from other spinal care text book. The pictures are of high quality with excellent illustrations. The book is easy to read and very well referenced. I recommend this book to every spine care specialists.
