With MEDEA, iconoclastic filmmaker Lars Von Trier directs an exploration of the dark passions of a woman scorned. MEDEA, a modernization of the play by Euripides, is based on a script by legendary Danish director Carl Theodor Dreyer.
About this product: Three of the world’s most celebrated directors—Abbas Kiarostami, Ken Loach, and Ermanno Olmi— join together to direct a trilogy of interwoven stories set during a train journey from Central Europe to Rome. The characters connect through casual encounters but the stories are related through their themes of social status, the mystery of chance, and sacrifice. An elderly businessman finds solace and a new insight into life when he meets a younger woman, played by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi (MUNICH), who arranges his train ticket after his flight was canceled. A young man is torn between an older woman who controls him and a younger one that attracts him. And three Scottish youths on their way to the football match of their dreams are forced to open their eyes and see the bigger picture. In each case, the train journey changes the course of the characters’ lives. Kiarostami, Loach, and Olmi—three masters at the top of their game—offer "one of the most satisfying omnibuses in recent memory." (Tim Wong, THE LUMIERE READER).

About this product: Gary Starke (Andy Garcia) is New York City's supreme scalper. Tickets for the Knicks, MOMA, the pope--you name it, he can get it. To mainstream society, however, Gary doesn't exist. He doesn't work 9 to 5, he doesn't have either a driver's license or a Social Security number, and he isn't even sure he was born in a hospital. Just the Ticket, Richard Wenk's wonderfully understated, well written and ultimately touching romantic comedy, is the story of how Gary finally finds identity. The movie's central premise has Gary trying to score big by scalping tickets for the pope's New York City appearance in order to win back his ex-girlfriend (Andie MacDowell). Both MacDowell and Garcia have been mired in career ruts, so their sexual chemistry is Just the Ticket's biggest surprise. Wenk knows and loves these characters (he based the protagonist on a scalper he met 20 years ago, and he spent five more years pitching the script to numerous studios), and that warmth provides an energy that's so often missing in many Hollywood romantic comedies. Also engaging (and at times heartbreaking) is Richard Bradford, who plays an aging runner who serves as Gary's father figure. MGM inexplicably dumped this picture in the dead of winter in 1999. The DVD--which features audio commentary by Garcia and Wenk, deleted scenes, and a four-page booklet about the making of the film--gives the film the second chance it deserves. --Dave McCoy

About this product: This movie is simply incredible. If you liked Sorority House Massacre II (and I know you did), you will love this movie. It has babes, bazookas, bozos, and an intriguing mystery to boot. OK, the last part is stretching it.
This movie follows two women who work for a charter plane/cargo service in Hawaii. They become targets, or somebody they know becomes targets, or something (who cares) of some Evil Bad Men. Their Boyfriends (the women, not the Bad Men) show up, after flexing and acting like [fools] on their boat for a while. Within a few minutes they encounter a Random Killer doing handstands on a skateboard. The Random Killer makes a second pass and manages to wing one of the Boyfriends, but the other shoots the Random Killer with a rocket launcher. Very cool! Another nice subplot is the Infected Snake (very realistic, let me tell you) who shows up in a sort of surprise ending that left the entire audience stunned.
The director's commentary is pretty cool because it explains some of the scenes that would otherwise make no sense. They still don't make much sense, but the commentary is cool. The video quality is very good, as is the audio. The plot quality is low, as is the acting. There is no shortage of nudity and violence. Excellent all around, if you like this kind of [junk].
A slightly sad note: Andy Sidaris (the genius who directed this), claims to have twelve movies out on DVD, but as of this writing only two are available.
About this product: Janes Forbes (Barrie) decides to help amnesiac Jack Doe (Pryor) to find the details of his true identity. She doesn't tell anyone she is leaving, which causes her worried father to hire a detective to find the pair. Trouble ensues when a minor gangster with his own night club becomes involved.
About this product: This is truly a great collection of shows presented in a single package for a very reasonable price. It is somewhat rare to find a collection like this in one package of any artist, least from an artist of the caliber and showmanship of Elton. I encourage those who like myself are true followers and collectors of Elton John to purchase this. It is likely that this is a limited type of offer that will not be available in great quantities or indefinately.

Every Digitally Remastered Director's Cut film is presented in its original, unedited glory packed full of bullets, bombs, and babes! Just the way they were meant to be seen.
