About this product: In this DVD, Larry McMillan, a recognized expert of option trading, shows why and how the Implied Volatility of a security (compared to its own past) is an essential tool in option trading. It explains ways to implement for using it when trading options, and free sources for getting the needed information. The DVD is very clear and detailed on this Implied Volatility topic (but not thorough). It also supplies some insights on the Put/Call Ratio. Its focus allows to describe it as an "advanced" lecture. Yet there is no need to be a mathematician or an otions expert to fully understand the demonstrations. Even if the lecture refers to free internet sources, some statements (reference to daily money weighted indicators) are clearly made to let us subscribe to Mr McMillan's site where money weighted data are available (...and after all why not?). Implied volatility is not shown in its relation to historical volatility (see Natenberg's DVD for that). The remaining feeling at the end is that Mr McMillan is sharing some precious knowledge but not his enthousiasm for options trading. He clearly knows what he is talking about, but is clearly holding back. He probably owes us a sequel in DVD form as well. The clarity of the graphs is sometimes forcing us to stop the DVD to really understand what they say (but isn't this exactly why we buy DVD rather than videos). It still is definitely worth buying: it can be classified as "Advanced" on options and as "basic" to "intermediate" on implied volatility. I liked the "how to" approach as opposed to traditional conceptual analysis, but this is personal taste.
