by: Carol on 2009-10-09 21:19:04 I just made a one page homepage linked to a previously prepared pages at a certain webhost. Why is it, than when I uploaded it, there were PC's in the office that could not clearly view it. Images are gone, words are scattered everywhere. But then it worked well to some. What do I need to do?
by: Przemek on 2008-10-22 14:55:01 Hi. I have a problem with Google not seeing my homepage (though seeing all other pages...). Why do you think this site (together with Google) sees 404 when I and my friends all do see 200 for the main site in their browsers? Do you have a clue? Great tool, many thanks. Przemek
by: Liz Coley on 2008-07-08 01:29:46 Will you be adding Microsoft Vista emulation soon? That's where my fonts are running into trouble.
by: Chris Hardwick on 2007-10-29 13:37:43 It seems my server-side includes aren't showing up, nor are images, in any of the browser configurations. I'm looking for display and functionality in Safari specifically. Are there specific settings I should choose for this?
by: dmitriy on 2007-04-10 23:32:15 My Java bot reported as regular browser, so it's quite useless try to protect based on user-agent.

by: rh [admin] on 2005-10-12 20:24:35 robots.txt is based on the honor system. it's up to the robot to respect the file. read: http://www.robotstxt.org/wc/exclusion.html
this simulator does not consult robots.txt. to fully enforce a rule you'd need to edit .htaccess for apache or the config file of your web server.

by: Michael Dengler on 2005-10-11 18:01:45 I added # Disallow Java-based bots User-agent: Java/* Disallow: /
to my robots.txt file. I then tested it by emulating a user agent: Java/1.4.2_08
The user agent wasn't blocked by the robots.txt file. The website's header results were returned.
How do I block user agents like Java/1.4.2_08 and Java/1.4.2_04?
