Due to abuse by spammers, this service will be unavailable for an undetermined period of time.
Unfortunately Godaddy has threatened me with registration suspension, as links from this service were spamvertized a number of times by spammers.

I have attempted multiple times to persuade Godaddy of my innocence with no luck.
Something to consider the next time you decide to pick a registrar or a Web hosting vendor.

I regret this decision, but faced with service termination from Godaddy, I had no choice.

Update: After much time and effort, Godaddy finally relented and released the domain, lifting their ransom demand. I have transferred all my domains back to Network Solutions, and I am contemplating my next move with this service. The last round cost me a lot of aggravation, and I would not want to experience that again. stay tuned...

Then you can reach them by typing the short, tiny, or personalized URL alias in your browser and get redirected. Great for emails and forums too, as many systems slice long URLs into multiple lines making them inaccessible via single click.
For example, a long URL like
http://www.really-long-and-complex-url-that-you-hate-to-type.com/long-file-name-that-bugs-you.htm?param=long-param
becomes
http://eleft.com/2
Simple, short, and compact.
As a plus, you can specify your own URL path by choosing your own terms that are easy to remember.
Your URL Redirection will then be constructed like: http://eleft.com/u/my-own-term. It doesn't have to be short either, up to 50 characters. And it can contain path segments using slashes(/).
