After trying this on my site, I have some questions. Do I have a choice on how many comments are viewed. More importantly, is it possible to show the submit a comment module on my page rather than going to a new page? It makes it seem like it is not part of the site.

David: It is possible to change to a different font: put CSS tags (<h5> etc) around the code.
Here it is working: www.alabaster.org.uk.contact.htm
All the best, Ray.

I think the tool is really great, thanks for sharing. One thing I would add is the possibility to change the text used in your coding. Like "view/add", "Submit a comment", etc. For example, I manage a french website, and unfortunately, the english text would probably confuse some.

there are other sites like haloscan that offer more complete features. i created these simple utils for my own use and then decided to put them online. true, they are crude, but some find them adequate. i also try to enhance them occasionally as free time permits. thanks for the feedback.

Great, simple script serving a real need.
However, so long as you offer it only as a "service," denying the user total control over its configuration and insisting on retaining this ridiculous umbilical cord to your own site, the script's useless.
No one in his right mind would use it under those conditions. The character limit can't even be changed.
Either offer a stand-alone package free or simply sell i

Thank you very much for this. Helps me a lot. Is it okey if you teach how to do it step by step from the scratch. That is, not using your database as storage and adding comments. thanks again my friend.

when the "view/add" link is clicked to add a comment, a new window from this site is opened to let the user post a comment. that's how most services of this type work. if there's some other issue, please give a sample page. will investigate. thanks.

This is great, but is there any way to change the background color and text color? Because this doesn't look good on my web site.If I could just make a couple of basic style changes, it would be perfect. But thanks anyway.

there hasn't been many requests for this. so currently the comment submission page can not be customized. will consider it for future enhancements. thanks
