Incredible Tips to Develop Unbelievably Lucrative Information Products!Incredible Tips to Develop Unbelievably Lucrative Information Products!
Information products are a hot trend on the Internet, and it's no surprise. The Internet lets your clients find relevant, timely information on any subject, at any time. Where else can you find so much information at your fingertips?
Bookstores contain a great deal of information; however, it is not easy to find information on a specific topic. Let's say I want to learn how to record and edit an interview, which I plan on selling through my website. At the local bookstore, I have to wade through dozens of books on audio engineering, computer skills, Website management … whew! It's much easier to find this kind of information on the Internet, even in video format.
Information on the internet is more current than print information. Once a book is written, it takes about one year to edit a book, send it to the publisher, print it, and get it onto store shelves. In that time, a lot of information may become outdated. By contrast, e-books are up-to-date, containing cutting-edge information. E-books are easy to update electronically, so it's easy to keep them current.
I'm often asked, "How can information products boost my internet sales?" Well, start by offering e-books, special reports, videos and interviews – whatever appeals to your customers. But don't limit yourself. Teleseminars are a great way to access many students at once. Using subscriptions to newsletters or membership sites can make the most of your opportunities with information products.
Are you ready to create your own information product? Great! Let's get started.
First, you need to figure out what your customers really want.
This is the most important step in the process. Without a clear idea of what your customers want, you will miss valuable opportunities to meet their needs. Don't make any assumptions. You are an expert; you're customer is not. Therefore, they will have different needs, different questions, than you will have.
Capture the first name and email address of each of your clients. Add an extra field into the form, and ask them for their questions. Trust me, after the first hundred responses, you will have an excellent idea of their needs and concerns! This will help you meet their needs. The information that you gather can be used in future promotions, helping you find new clients for your business. Use that information for sales letters and more.
